Dear Partners and Friends,

Pull it down! Cast it down! Take it captive! You are equipped with the weapons to pull down every spiritual, mental or emotional stronghold. You are supplied with the spiritual artillery to cast down every imagination or idea that lifts itself against the knowledge of God. Every disobedient, troublesome, thought can be taken captive at gunpoint. You can make your thoughts surrender in obedience to the Anointed One, Jesus Christ.

The Lord is not going to march into your life, take your spiritual weapons, and point them at the thoughts, worries, or fears that are attacking you. It is not His responsibility. He provided the weapons. That is His part. Your part is to use the weapons and maintain the victory He has already provided. The working of these weapons I am referring to is explained in II Corinthians 10:4-5.

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; II Corinthians 10:4-5

The weapons work to defend you against imaginations and thoughts. Why? It is because this is how the enemy will attack. Just like Eve was attacked with words that transmitted images, the attack against every believer comes through information that disagrees with the information provided by the Lord. We don’t have to be victims to a continual onslaught of thoughts. We can renew our mind to become a strong tower of righteous thought patterns. We just have to move from the defensive to the offensive position.

Step One- Stop all chaos! In Christ Jesus, we are already more than conquerors. The God of Hope has filled us with all joy and peace in believing (Romans 15:13). Jesus has given us His peace. (John 14:27) In that verse, Our Lord and Master instructed us, “Let not your heart be troubled.” That is not a suggestion. The Lord expects us to maintain the peace He supplied. He expects us to guard against all worry, fear, or anything that disturbs us. The Amplified Bible of John 14:27 uses the phrase, “Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.”

Does that sound strong to you? Does that sound like the Lord is unreasonable? If it does, you need to put that verse in your mouth and in your heart until it renews your mind. Our society has conditioned many believers to accept fear. Worry is not being resisted in the believer’s life like it should be. People let thoughts of worry play around unhindered in their mind until it becomes natural. Worry is never natural for the believer. If something agitates you, confront it! Take your weapon and capture the thought. Don’t allow it in your thought processes!

Step Two-Reformat the mental hard drive! Romans 12:2 says “be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Ephesians 4:23 says, “Be renewed in the spirit of your mind.” Colossians 3:10 tells us the new man (the new you born-again and spiritually alive) is renewed in knowledge. You have to take your spiritual weapons and clean out any ungodly thoughts of despair, unrighteousness, and unworthiness. Every thought has to agree with the New Testament identification you were given at the new birth. This step is not only about ridding your thoughts of the incorrect ideas. Renewing your mind includes rebuilding the right thought patterns. Your mind should be a well-fortified, strong defense system against wrong thoughts. If the enemy sends a thought of failure, red lights should blaze and sirens should blare “Danger, Danger!” You run to the scene with weapons drawn and declare, “I am the head and not the tail. All grace is abounding toward me. Everything I do prospers!”

Step Three-Move into the offensive! Build the image of God’s Word so strongly into your thought processes until you begin to advance. Move into the flood stage of the blessing! Move into the flood stage of the Spirit of God. You accomplish this advancement by giving your attention to the Word. Proverbs 4:20 “Attend to my words!” Psalms 1:3 says the person who has focused on the Word day and night will prosper in whatever he does. Joshua 1:8 declares you will make your way prosperous and have good success after you have maintained the Word in your mouth until you can see yourself doing it!

Partner, you have what it takes to win in life. Jesus Christ already gave it to you!I’m praying for you!
