Dear Partners and Friends,
Jesus’ blood is continuously at work in His body. His blood stream is distributing redemption, protection, eternal life, covenant benefits and victory. There is a greater provision and supply available in the blood of Jesus Christ than many believers realize. Because faith affects the flow of His blood in your lives, I want to build your faith concerning the blood of Jesus.
One of the greatest benefits supplied by the blood of Jesus is access to our Father God. If you could go back in time 2016 years before Jesus went to the cross, you would find the way into the presence of God was closed. God didn’t want it to be that way. He created mankind for the purpose of relationship. When Adam and Eve sinned, their condition changed. Their righteous nature transformed into a sin nature. They were spiritually alive until they sinned. At the moment of their sin, spiritual death entered their heart. Because of these changes in their condition, they were spiritually separated from their communion with God.
God did not abandon them! Out of His love and desire for them, He provided a temporary covering for their sinful condition. The blood of animals was shed in the Garden when the Lord made coats of skins and clothed them. God taught their children about the blood as the acceptable way to approach Him. By faith, Abel offered an acceptable sacrifice to the Lord. Cain did not approach the Lord with a blood sacrifice. God spoke to him and encouraged him to do what his brother had done and he would be accepted too. The blood was necessary.
Throughout the history of man’s interaction with God, blood was a required element in our access to Him. Noah’s first recorded action after the Ark landed was a blood sacrifice. Blood covered the covenant between Abraham and God. When God prepared to deliver the children of Israel from Egypt, He instituted the blood to cover their lives. He declared, “When I see the blood, I will pass over you”. Fifty days later, they stood at Mount Sinai. The blood of the covenant was sprinkled on the altar, the book and the people. The blood came into contact with the people in a closer proximity! Then, God declared, “Build me a tabernacle. I want to dwell with you!” As the blood had closer contact, the presence of God had closer contact.
The tabernacle and temple designed as a replica of the Heavenly house of worship had the blood as the central focus. The first thing the people saw was the brazen altar where the blood was shed. The blood was sprinkled on the furniture in the Holy Place. The High Priest entered the Holiest of Holies carrying the blood to pour on the mercy seat. All of this was temporary.
The permanent solution arrived with the outpouring of the blood of the Lamb – Jesus Christ! Jesus spoke of His blood saying, “He that drinks my blood has eternal life…my blood is drink indeed… He that drinks my blood dwells in me…” (John 6:53-56) He said, “This is my blood of the New Testament which is shed for many for the remission of sins… Drink all of it” (Matthew 26:28).
By His own blood Jesus entered into the Holy place having obtained eternal redemption for us (Hebrews 9:12). This is the new and living way! We have boldness to enter into the Holiest by the blood of Jesus…by a new and a living way! (Hebrews 10:19-20) Through the blood of Jesus, we have access to the Father. Let us draw near!
As you come into closer contact with the blood of Jesus, your confidence in the presence of the Father grows stronger. Honor that blood. Declare that blood over your home, your body and your children. Build your faith in the cleansing power of Jesus’ blood. Partner, you and I are those who overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony! Believe in that blood!
