Newness of Life

Excerpt from “Redeemed and Righteous by Nature”

GALATIANS 2:20

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

I have faith in the fact that I have been buried with Him in baptism and resurrected in the newness of life. I believe that I am a different person because I am born from above. I am born of God.

I am no longer what I was in the past. I am not the mistakes I made. I am not the sinful things I have done. The Michelle “before Christ” has passed away. I am now Michelle “after the death of Christ.”

I can now deal with every circumstance of my life from my fixed, legal standpoint in Christ, which is a standpoint of victory.

I no longer deal with any situation or circumstance from the position of victimhood. No matter what it looks like, I win in Christ. No matter how I feel, I win in Christ.

If we deal with life from a victim’s standpoint, we will always put ourselves at a disadvantage. In Christ, we are never under the circumstance, and we are never the victim in any situation.

God placed us in Christ so that we could be in the position of victory from the onset. In every circumstance, we maintain a position of victory. We go in as the winner!

Whatever the situation is, come into it proclaiming your victory.
