How can you become easily persuaded by the Word of God?
When I first received Jesus, I was skilled in doubt. It was natural for me to look at it something from the Word of God through a filter of reasoning. I was skeptical. It was easy for me to believe the worst. I was quick to expect failure. I was highly developed in unbelief.
I had to learn how to approach God’s Word with respect and place it above all reasoning and sense knowledge. I had to learn how to readily embrace the Word and give it action in my life. I had to stop the negative momentum of doubt and turn the direction of the momentum in the direction of faith.
We don’t want to put the Word of God on hold while we determine whether or not we are going to act on it. We don’t want to “drag our spiritual feet” and allow our spirit to practice delayed obedience. We want to train ourselves to respond immediately to what the Word says about our situation. We want to be quick when it comes to the Word.
It helps to identify the fact that the Word of God is different than the daily news, the posts on social media, or a proclamation that is given by man. We receive the Word as GOD’S WORD. We identify the Word of God as absolute truth. Jesus said in John 17: 17, “Sanctify them by your truth. thy Word is truth.”
The truth can not only set us apart, but it provides a stable solid foundation. Jesus said God’s Word is truth. The word truth used here means “absolute truth.” It is not one truth alongside of a lot of other truths. It is the truth. The highest form of truth that exists.
One of the enemy’s tricks is revealed to us in Second Corinthians, Chapter 10. We see the weapons of our warfare allow us to cast down imaginations and every high thing that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of God. The adversary would love to exalt reasoning over God’s absolute truth in our perception. We need to make sure we don’t allow anything else to have a higher place of decision-making in our lives than the Word of God.
We must establish the truth of God’s Word in order to cast the wrong thoughts down. Then, we need to verbally cast it down. Words are more powerful than thoughts. Spoken words are more powerful than thoughts. Hallelujah! Jesus set the example for us when He said, “It is written.” To successfully cast down a thought that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of God, we must audibly declare the Word of God.
For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the ]breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 AMPC
The Word of God is so full of His life and power that it is active. When we are speaking the Word of God, we are not just talking. We are causing situations to come under subjection to the authority of the Word of God. We are establishing God’s will in that circumstance. The Word is actively at work in performing its operations to cause God’s desired outcome in that area of our lives.
The Word of God is full of power. God doesn’t own an empty word. He has never spoken an empty Word. He has never uttered a word that didn’t have power in it. It is for this reason we treat God’s Word with a greater respect and give it the highest position of authority and importance in our lives.
God’s Word contains every provision you will need in this life. He has supplied access to His covenant provision through His Word. If you will place the Word of God in your heart and bring it up to your mouth, it is going to cause the manifestation of the things that you need in your life.
So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11
In the same way that the rain and the moisture from the snow come to bring the seed to fruition, God’s Word is going to make your life bring forth. When God’s Word is raining down on the soil of your life every day, His Word works to make your life produce the will of God.
When you start sowing the Word into your heart, you will discover it is not hard to believe God. It is easy to believe Him. It is easy to be persuaded by His Word. Just fill your heart with what He said. Keep your eyes focused on what He said. Let the light of God’s Word shine brightly into your eyes until your perception is clearly seeing His victory.
