According to God’s Word, we can refuse to have any anxiety about anything. Philippians 4:6 (AMPC) says, “Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything….” It is possible but it won’t happen for us unless we choose to resist the anxiety. If you don’t resist it, anxiety will weigh you down.
Proverbs 12:25 (AMPC) says, “Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down….”

The Living Bible says, “Anxious hearts are very heavy….”

The Good News Translation says, “Worry can rob you of happiness….”

I love what we find in the New King James version of this verse! It says, “Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression….”

But my favorite is the ICB translation: “Worry makes a person feel as if he is carrying a heavy load….”

Little by little, the anxiety weighs down the heart until life is hard and your heart is heavy. You can’t permit it to continue having access to your mind! Cast the thought down and take it captive! Just say NO! No, I won’t worry about that because I trust God. God is my refuge and my strength. He is MY very present help in time of trouble!
I preached this week about recognizing and resisting fear. It will help you! You can watch it here:
