Well, I often say that it is erroneous to think that someone has to be raised in a low-income or bad situation to have a testimony. I grew up in a very affluent part of Hendersonville, Tennessee, outside of Nashville. I went to school in an affluent neighborhood. I learned to drive in a Mercedes Benz. I was a babysitter for people on the Grand Ole Opry. I had everything seemingly going to my benefit, but there was an inner destruction inside me. And you know, different things happened to open the door to that destruction. I was sexually abused as a young girl and as a teenager in three different instances that I talked about in the book. I ran away from home and ended up on the streets of Nashville, Tennessee, addicted to drugs, in a life of crime. I did not become a drug addict first. I dealt with the decisions that I was making by turning to drugs….Watch the interview now!
