When you feel like your back is against the wall, find God’s Word and act on it. You may find times in your life when you have tried everything you know to try. Perhaps you have prayed and asked God, “What am I doing wrong?” You have changed things around. You have moved things out of your life. You know what God’s Word says about your life. But your situation isn’t lining up with your revelation. You know God’s Word is truth. Still everything in the natural is screaming, “It is not working!”
This is not the time to despair. Don’t give up on the seed you have been sowing. Don’t back off your prayer of faith! Don’t leave the light of God’s Word to wander around in the darkness asking “Why? Why is this happening to me?”
“Faith rejoices, gives thanks and is glad. Doubt despairs, complains and is sad.” The evidence of our faith is our joy and peace. If you are constantly complaining or crying, don’t get condemned. Change it! Find God’s Word and act on it! You can start by finding Philippians 4:4 which instructs us to “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.”
There was a time when my husband and I were dealing with a situation that needed to change. It was a financial condition that had been troubling us for a few years. We had done everything in our power. We had adjusted everything we could adjust in the natural. We disciplined our spending. We cut from the budget anything extra that we could cut. We both took temporary jobs to add to the finances. We never had peace about it and found that it always hindered what we were called to do. The answer was not in the natural arena of our life.
The entire situation began to turn when we took action on the Word. We saw some truths in the Word we had not acted on fully. Those truths became revelation to us. We saw how they could apply to our lives. I remember the faith that rose in my heart because I knew I had acted on the Word. I had been acting in hope. I had been acting in despair. But, now I was acting on the Word.
In Luke chapter five we see that Peter and his friends had been fishing all night. Peter said, “Master, we toiled all night and caught nothing in our nets. But on the ground of your word, I will lower the nets again.” (Luke 5:5 Amp) This time Peter received a different result. Because he was responding to the Word, Peter received results!
God wants you to have results! God wants everything in your life to abound with peace, victory and supply! Don’t sweat or struggle another day. Find a Word from God and act on it!
